    Phoenix in 6
    San Antonio in 6
    Seattle in 7
    Dallas in 6

    Miami in 5
    Detroit in 5
    Indiana in 6
    Chicago in 7

Some great first round matchups. I wouldn't be surprised to see Denver give the Spurs fits, or for Memphis to keep pace with the Suns.

I'd say that the most lopsided would have to be the Pistons/Sixers series.

If there was one team I didn't want Philly to face, the Pistons were it.

That's funny you say that, because I feel the same way in reverse. Philly was the team I didn't want to see the Pistons draw. Now that AI is playing a lot more true PG, the match-up changes significantly. In the past, Rip could run with AI at the 2. Chauncy can't run with him. I think Detroit has the horses to win the series, but I don't think it will be easy.

I think the Nets are going to give the Heat all they can handle. If Shaq can't go in the first game or two, I wouldn't be shocked to see them drop one at home.

Cant wait for these matchups to start. I was really hoping for a Detriot-Indiana first round. Given the history these 2 teams have.

I like all the matchups in the East. I dont think there is a clear cut winner in any series. Like Clay said, I think NJ can give Miami a nice run for they're money. I'm predicting a 4-2 Miami victory.

As for the rest of the East, complete tossups. Cant say much about the West in the first round, I can already see the teams with the homecourt advantage winning thos series.

So, is the chat room available during games?

BTW, this is going to be a great 1st round.

I just hate that ABC sucks so badly.

Why schedule the 1st day of the playoffs on the same day as the NFL Draft....sheesh

I think this years playoffs are gonna be damn exciting. Sux that my team isn't in, but oh well, I've gotten over it. The teams that are in it tho deserve to be and the matchups look great so far. I can't wait.

                Suns over Memphis 4-2
                Spurs over Nuggets 4-3
                Kings over Sonics 4-2
                Dallas over Houston 4-3

                Miami over NJ 4-3
                Bulls over Wizards 4-3
                Detroit over Philly 4-3
                Indiana over Boston 4-2

Man that's tough. Everyone is so close to each other. The field is wide open this year.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

I hate NBA playoff scheduling. Series should never have more than one day off between games. The NHL manages to do this (with CBC/TSN/ESPN/ESPN2) while the NBA can't (with TNT/ABC/ESPN/ESPN2). It ruins the flow of the series. Also I think it's stupid that the NBA doesn't go by seedings in the 2nd round.

                  Anyways here are my predictions:

Suns over the Grizzlies in 4
Nuggets over the Spurs in 6
                  Sonics over Kings in 6
                  Mavericks over Rockets in 6

Heat over the Nets in 6
Pistons over the 76ers in 5
Pacers over the Celtics in 6
Wizards over the Bulls in 7

Is Brad Miller going to be playing?

Can anyone give me an injury update.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

                          Yes Sir!!!

So where do the masses see the Pistons going into the playoffs? Nationally they still kind of have that under-the-radar feel. Heat - Suns - Spurs - Sonics... Pistons seem to be maybe the 5th in the line of favorites.

I think that's how they like it.

I see Detroit have dropped Delfino from thier playoff roster. That must have made his day. Makes his way back from surgery and has to make way for Darvin Ham.

Delfino kind of whined himself out of a spot. He complained about coming back from his knee surgery. LB told him he needed to get more minutes in and learn to play with a little pain. He publically, and privately, bitched about it. Sooooo... he's getting his rest now.
