I thought that the Spurs would win in a close game but I did not think that it would have been like this. This is fun and exciting and pressuring basketball. I can't wait for game 6.

Yeah right his shoulder was injured. HOW DO YOU LET ROBERT HORRY OPEN LIKE THAT?!

How many more examples of his damn clutch three pointers do we need before someone gets an f'n body on him?? RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE.

Rip totally elbowed Tony Parker in the face at the end. Why the hell didnt he pass out of that situation? That was stupid on his part.

      Whatever.

HORRY has been doing this for years I dont5 know why it is suprising to anyone!

When Hakeem was bottled up by 2-3 defenders in the finals like Duncan is Horry would bury threes to help his big man out.

When Shaq was playing timid in the clutch Horry would again help him out.

Horry gets pushed around easily down low but duncan and shaq helped him with weak side defense so it all evens out.

        Team ball.

        BTW

Detroit played very well tonight a few plays here and there and it was easily their game Billiups will live and die by that rolling postup move and Hamilton.

Everybody on detroit stepped up tonight its just the Spurs refused to fold no matter the pressure and that aint easy in the palace!

Horry actually was cheering when Duncan missed his freethrows, like "its alright tim I got your back".

Although I want SAS to win it all, I want DET to win the next game to make this an even better series.

Just like I said earlier people always leave him open. I don't get it either. If he is open he'll make that shot every single time. It is ridiculous and unacceptable that nobody put a body on him. Watching that last three he made I was like "somebody better get a body on him" and what did they do just stand and watch.

I'm not surprised that he made the shots. I'm just surprised that the Pistons couldn't get one of the Wallace's in his face.

Finally we had a close game and BIG SHOT BOB comes thru in the clutch again!

I liked how Rip Hamilton was shoving his elbows all over Tim Duncan and he STILL couldn't score the winning basket.

Ah well, it was a pretty good game. I just hope the rest of the series is this close.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

LOL @ Duncan bein overrated. Sure he struggled but sometimes thats what happens when you go against Ben and Rasheed.

26pts and 19rebs hardly spells overrated IMO, especially 8 offensive rebs. Guys just look at points in critical moments but this is what makes Duncan the best player in the League IMO. If he's not scorin with ease, he effects the game in other areas. A lot of the other elite players in the league aren't important if the shot isn't droppin. Duncan is the complete opposite. Horry definitley saved him though because Duncan struggled with the shot and had some costly TO's. It was also nice to know Manu was still alive.

Detroit really has to bring it for Game 6. Is it correct that they haven't won in San Antonio since 1997?

That was Tony Parker and it should've been an offensive foul.

Ah thanks for correcting me, Yeah I was like "um refs this is an Offensive foul here!"

Of course if the refs actually made the call there might've been another riot at the palace.

That is very true. Yes Duncan struggled at the in the 4th quarter with some bad shots and FT's, but they still found a way to win and that's what championship teams do. When their star player struggles they go to other guys (i.e. Robert Horry) to deliver with huge shots.

Wow, Sheed thinks he's gettin some criticism now for his screw-up, think of the backlash if his timeout didn't come before the clock ran out.

                                We can only imagine

I noticed not too many people mentioned this but he was very lucky that clock was at 0 because he surely called a timeout that they didn't have. This was right after regulation so if that timeout went through, thats most likely ball game before OT even takes place.

Funny thing is, Chris Webber was in the buildin......
