Well, if you think about it, a good amount of the time when McInnis was in the game, LeBron would bring the ball up court, even though he was playing SG or SF at the time. He's capable of running the point, but I'd rather have a true PG there instead.

Exactly. Having LeBron constantly run the point takes away from his off-ball skills. You lose easy buckets like dunks off alley-oops from him and lay-ups off of his cuts.

Nah, HH...LeBron would always have the ball after Z's touch anyway. He rarely played off-ball because neither of his guards were threats. Defenses always sagged off Newble and J-Mac.

Silas' offense was so predictable. Dump to Z while Gooden throws a high screen for LeBron. Z shoots or swings it back out, and eventually LeBron would get the ball with 10 seconds or so on the shot clock. Then he'd either shoot over a smaller guy (or big guy backed way off), take bigger guy to the hole, or abuse the rotating defense by firing an overhead bullet pass to a wide open guy on the opposite side or to Gooden in the post. Thats why McInnis had so few assists..LeBron always had the ball (which is a damn good thing )

If they get a shooter at PG, that should make all the difference in the world. I still think Lebron, Hughes and Marshall are a little too streaky as far as perimeter shooting goes.

Anybody think that if Sarunas doesn't sign, they might move Hughes to PG and start a lineup of Hughes/James/Marshall/Gooden/Ilgauskas? Not sure how well that would work... but it would be a huge lineup that is above average at defense and rebounding.

Memphis is trying to move Jason Williams, how about dealing Gooden for him? Cleveland could score 150 pts. one night and 50 the next...streakiest team in NBA history.

PG-Williams
SG-Hughes
SF-James
PF-Marshall
C-Ilgauskas

I know Memphis probably doesn't want Drew Gooden back... but if they do, you're right. This would be the streakiest team of all time.

I'd be scared to play them in the playoffs, though. Teams like that scare me.

With the extended playoff series' that the NBA has, streaky teams are usually the ones who lose early.
