Even if they knew who she was, I think listing money as the reason the whole thing started is ridiculous. As if the fans could possibly know she'd assault them.

How do you know she assualted them?

Because that's what they said or what you saw?

Money is the motive because if it was me or you it wouldn't have made headlines and nothing would have been brought up. I gurantee you this incident finds it's way to the courts.

Yet it wouldn't even go to court if it was me or you.

But it all comes back to assualt. What is considered assualt now days?

Think about it assualt is considered verbal and physical so which one are you talking about and did you actually witness it or just decided the fans are right?

Maybe she didn't feel like standing. Of course, this couple is going to say they were assaulted and will try to get paid.

Exactly, I just debated this same aspect.

If it was me or you this wouldn't have made headlines nor would it go to court.

Avery's wife has been to many games here in Phoenix over the last two years and sits pretty much in the same area every game. I've been to several regular season games and two playoff games last year and instantly relaized it was Avery's wife because during pre-game he always spends about 5-10 minutes speaking with her invisible sight of the fans.

So for people to say how did they even know it was Acvery's wife that is a load of crop because I'm sure many fans that arrive at games early pickup on these details during pre game warm ups. They see girlfriends, wife's, sisiters, brothers and uncles all the time when players or coaches visit them during warm ups.

My whole point is at what point does the NBA take action on these fans only looking to make a quick dollar. People honestly believe every time and incident occurs it's always the family member or friend of these NBA players or coaches that start all this drama.

I'm sure Avery's wife a very religous women goes around on a tirade quite easily if she doesn't get what she wants right?

Re: Avery Johnson's Wife...Gangsta!

When I was at the Lakers/Nets game this year, this Net fan stood up after every play, during the play, and we couldn't see anything. It does get annoying. Some Laker fans behind me were really ticked, obviously. Even the friend of the guy was embarassed by his buddy. I can understand standing up after a nice play or late in the game when everyone in standing but to stand up during plays and block the view of people behind you is unacceptable. I don't know what happened in this case but i'm just talking about this in general.

And for every fan that arrives early and picks up on those details, there's even more fans that don't. So to ask if they even knew who she was is not a load of crap. To assume they did, is.

Unless you know her personally, they I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that she is the one telling the truth, and that the couple in front of her (and witnesses) are the ones lying. I don't know or particularly care, but assuming the fans made up some story to extort money from her is as dumb as assuming she's automatically guilty of what's been said.

Like I said before we'll see if it ends up court. I'm willing to bet if it was you or me it wouldn't but since it's Avery's wife chances are it will then comeback and debate your argument that it isn't about money at that point ok.

If you seriously think a number of fans in a general area, sitting in different rows conspired up the whole story for monetary gain, then I'm not arguing this with you. I think that's hilarious.
