Re: What if NBA careers.....

What if growing up, Kobe Bryant had hated Jordan instead of idolizing him. Do we have near the same player?

What if the Hornets kept Kobe Bryant, who knows maybe they still end up in Charlotte

What if Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf(formerly Chris Jackson), one of my favorite former LSU bball players, had actually panned out for more then a few years before just fading out

Yeah. Its a good thing Jordan hit that shot, otherwise, Kobe might be trying to be like Craig Ehlo.

Stern changed the rules for the draft in the middle of the season. It had always been a coinflip of the worst team in each conference for the first pick. So Ewing should have ended up in Golden State or Indiana if the rules hadn't been changed.

Interesting. If thats true then how did western conference teams end up with the first two picks the year before? Was there a trade?

In 1966, the NBA introduced the coin flip between the worst teams in each division to determine who would obtain the first overall draft pick. The team who lost the coin flip would get the second pick, while the rest of the first-round picks were determined in reverse order of the win-loss record. In this system, the second-worst team would never have a chance to obtain the first pick if it was in the same division with the worst team. The coin flip meant that both teams had an equal chance to draft first. The coin flip system was used until 1984.

here is what lead to the lottery in the first place

Surprised Nobody has mentioned this one.

What if Drazen Petrovic didn't get into that accident. Would probably be the most prolific scorer in NBA history
