Rebuilding is a reach, bro. Maybe I did a "poor" job explaining. Shaq signs a contract this off season. Cavs get a ton of cap space. Right now. The second he signs it. Same with Z. Wally has been encouraged to hold off on retirement so he could possibly be used in a S&T. There is no long wait. I know Mo and Jamison, (who isn't half the value Shard is at 100+ right, lmao) are suddenly the worst supporting players in the league, but you're trying way too hard.
Last year was LeBron's best team, talent wise. Take him off the team and this is your starting lineup:

Mo Williams, Delonte West, Anthony Parker, Antawn Jamison, Shaq

Compare this team to Dwight, Kobe, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Carmelo's teams without that star player on that team and I'm sure he would swap situations with any of those other players.

If he signs elsewhere, he gets an immediate upgrade in a sidekick on a team with a lot more flexibility than Cleveland who is paying Mo/Jamison/Varejao 29.6 million next year and 31.2 million the year after that. We know what those players can do, they are either on the decline or in their prime. Sign LeBron for the max, which I think is around 17 million a year, and those 3 below average players (for the money they make) and LeBron combine for 46.6 million and 48.2 million in the next two seasons... throw in Daniel Gibson, Jamario Moon, and JJ Hickson's contracts and that number goes to 55.1 million and 58.1 million.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/cleveland.htm

So LeBron and the Cavs will have to deal with these contracts for at least two more years with players who just aren't all that good, at least compared to what his competition is playing with.

And yes, I know Rashard Lewis' contract is horrible. If you were trying to get under my skin about the Magic paying him way too much... I completely agree with you. He will be making 23 million per in three years.

The Crazy Russian, Avery Johnson, and Jay Z are currently in a meeting with LeBron, FYI.

Knicks will be here between 1-2. Not sure who is after that.

Hopefully they have a handicapped ramp for Walsh to get into the meeting.

Bulls will be last according to sources but no idea if that is today. They would have to fly out of Chicago as they're meeting with Wade.

I'm pretty sure Cleveland is last.

I'm talking about new teams. I doubt Cleveland will go all out like NY or NJ as there is no reason to. He's played there for 7 years.

Trust me when I say that's not true.

The Cavaliers have plastered Banners all over town with messages to LeBron. They literally have gone up over night.

Yeah I saw somewhere else that the Bulls were going to be last today...can't remember exactly where I read it but I could be wrong. Don't think it really matters either way. Gonna be interesting to watch this unfold.
