I think it's closer than people think....Pierce's shooting percentages are better despite being the number 1 (and only) option for alot of his career. Pippen is statistically the better rebounder, passer, and defensive player.

And although you can't change history or really play "what ifs?" here, you have to take into the Jordan factor. Pierce has had his share of postseason success and you can make a case that he has been the best player on every single one of his teams.
Honestly, I don't think there's much to think about. Pippen is the more well-rounded player. I don't think you have to take into account any Jordan factor. Look at the Bulls first championship, Pippen avg'd 21/8/5 and shot 50% from the field in 17 games. He was a talented player too. In the year Jordan left (93-94) he still maintained those averages sans FG% - because he wasn't a team's 1st option. Still, no reason to give Pierce any edge over him.

Yeah, I don't think it's any comparison to be honest.

I'll never forget the infamous Pippen half court trap. Whether it was Pippen and Jordan, Pippen and Ron Harper or Pip and BJ Armstrong.....if those long arms got to you at half court with help, it was instant rape.

Scottie Pippen.

People also forget Pippen led the Bulls to 2nd place in the East when MJ retired and only lost to a Finals bound Knicks squad, 4-3.
