I think it has more to do with me liking to get rid of the old and having a new beginning.

I like Luke but it seems he has been undermined with all the rumors going around and the expectations that he was going to be fired at the end of the season. Maybe LeBron was ok with that and didn't made a fuss about it (wanting Luke out) since he knew Luke was on his way out anyway. Is there concrete evidence of whether LeBron wants Luke back or not?

Lets just get Riley and Spoelstra in place already and get this party started

I saw an opinion on social media that I hadn't thought of, but I actually agree with. Dude was saying that Magic is a nice dude and just doesn't have that shrewd cut throat mentality that many great executives have. I can see that. I remember the J Kidd Lawrence Frank stuff years ago. Magic likes being lovable social Magic. I can see it taking a toll on him. Still, abruptly stepping up down like this with no coordination with the team is a bad look.
