And with that, Pro Football Reference has lost all legitimacy. Yes, they're seriously arguing that Vinny Testaverde is a Hall of Famer.
If that's not a reason to stay away from drugs, then I don't know what is.

So, your very first post is a bump of a 5 year old thread about Vinny Testaverde. Well played. But, how does that even happen? Were you searching for Testaverde related threads, did you accidentally browse to forum page 589?

And to answer the question; No, of course not.

I still remember when he cheated the Seahawks out of the playoffs.

Not a chance.

Re: should Vinny Testaverde be in the Hall of Fame?

QB stats are like baseball steriod stats. Every QB who has played since 1995 needs an asteriks next them. The game changed. THe rules changed. Thankfully everyone was already using PED's in the NFL but rule changes have made 2010 4000 yards a year = 3000 yards 1980.

Vinny was hated by the fans of every team he played for. That does not equal HOF.

Not a Hall of Famer, but there's a good argument that he would have been had he played on better teams.

Re: should Vinny Testaverde be in the Hall of Fame?

Im not even going to pretend that I have a perfect picture of the dudes career stats and/or his top 5 seasons, but my opinion is that anyone who can find consistent work as an NFL qb for 20 seasons, is going to accumulate stats. Vinny, in my opinion has been a survivor. In that I mean he went to bad teams purposely so he could play. He seriously made a career out of filling in for busted draft picks and/or keeping the seat warm for a future Qb or something like that did he not?

Any way you look at it, the guy was never an elite QB. The hall of fame is for elite players.

Think about this, how many players get inducted each year? Then, take that number and how many of them on average are qb's? Then take a look at the qb's that arent in the hall yet but played during his career. I mean I see a lot more people we should be talking about before vinny testaverde.

The man has had a good body of work as a whole. he can be proud of himself and he has any sports gfans respect in that regard. I just dont see how anyone could justify him being a hall of famer
