BTW...not sure how you can call it a stupid rule. If it happened the way I understand it happened (I didn't see the play), if KC blocked the punt but it went past the line of scrimmage, that's in effect like an actual punt; if KC touches it, it's live.

Well technically it was the right call, but the Chargers have been lucky with those kind of plays this year.

the Jackson spin that was ruled an illegal forward pass, there was a Rivers fumble in Buffalo that was ruled illegally touched by a Bills player.

Much like the Leon Lett blocked FG call on Thanksgiving 10 years ago.
But I thought once it was blocked, it was the receiving team's ball no matter what?

I mean I'm not complaining b/c we just scored...but that's a weird rule.

LT just surpassed Barry Sanders for 7th all time *career rushing TDs* and tied Marshall Faulk for 6th with 100TD in just 93games...

Yes. Blocked kick past the LOS. This is not a new rule.

Essentially, it's the same thing as a muffed punt...

All bets should be off in the case of a block though. Terrible rule.

Re: SNF: Chiefs @ Chargers

Thats why you generally don't see teams trying to recover blocked kicks past the LOS.

As I said, think Leon Lett.
