McNabb is a better QB, granted, you don't have to argue that, but you're using the wrong justification to clarify him as that, you're using the wrong reasoning as to why he would actually have that big of an impact on our team (which I think he wouldn't).

Ummmm, that's the only thing that he doesn't have to work on.

Have you seen him pass? Worst form I've ever seen, constantly throwing off his back foot, but he can still zip the ball there as fast as anyone.

Tarvaris Jackson is far from a great quarterback but he has one of the best arm strengths in the NFL.

Re: Too All Vikings Fans

what vikes fans should hope for is that Jackson can progress and get to a Hasselbeck or Delhomme level. I don't think he's a superstar but sometimes you don't need a superstar to win. Plus trying to forecast who's going to be that next stud qb out of college is futile.

So you play with what you have.

I don't see any Vick in his game. Vick was a once in a decade athlete playing qb. He was probably one of the smallest qb starting and put an Atlanta Falcons team with a lot of deficiencies (small rb, no wrs, porous oline, overrated defense) into the playoff contention, not to mention his college success.

Jackson doesn't have that athleticism or dynamics in his game. He's got a live arm and he's raw. He reminds me of Q carter and Garrard.

he has a chance to either be a good qb that learns to run a team ala (philip rivers, hasselbeck, garrard, etc) or a stopgap/backup (anthony wright, boller, carr, etc.)

you can spend 60 million dollars on a "franchise" guy like Eli or spend 10million and get a Jackson/Garrard type, the w/l results would prob be the same.

I don't pretend to have watched a whole lot of Jackson, but from what little I have, I don't see how anyone could view him as the future for ANY team. He seems to make poor decisions, have bad mechanics and be inaccurate.

Tonight is his 13th start... so I give him leeway on the decisions. But his accuracy and mechanics are awful.
