I think not having Shockey will really hurt the Giants. Plax will get doubled and Tampa rarely blitzs so Eli will be throwing into coverage..

It will be a nice match up..How has Eli played against the Bucs in the past?

They're not even top 10 in the NFC this year.
I would say they are about 15th in the NFC right now and would lose to every AFC team.

Not having Shockey has just made the Giants a more of a ball control team..They have become a run first playaction team rather than putting the game in Eli's hand.. Plax hasn't been doubled in a long time and that's due to his ankle injury..teams are realizing that the only routes Plax can run efectively are deep routes..he can't get out of his breaks quick enough because of his ankle so teams are laying on the deep routes with one db..the fact that Tampa rarely blitzes is good for Eli he has problesm with teams that pressure him with the blitz and force him to make bad decisions and throws...

Re: NFC Wild Card: Giants at Bucs

I think Tampa Bay plays in the Super Bowl.

They are pretty good team, but no one ever talks about them. I honestly believe they could be a sleeper team that ends up playing in the Super Bowl against the Patriots.

Tampa Bay: 17
New York Giants: 13

They've beaten two teams with a winning record this season: Tennessee by 3 (with Young out injured) and Washington by 6, both at home.

I just have a gut feeling they will be a sleeper team this year.
