Quite a few people don't remember that.

Anyways i'm sure Cameron could be a fine OC again. He's just not head coach material.

I was talking in general terms around the league, not with Jerry Jones. That was meant as a serious question, not as a rhetorical one.

Exactly. I'd kill to have that offense back. It was so dynamic. Under Norv, it's pretty predictable.

Re: And so it begins...

Couple of tidbits from SI.com's rumors page
From the Miami Herald:
Quote:
Several low-rung Dolphins staffers have been told to show up early for work Monday to clean out other people's offices throughout the Dolphins' facility. That comes as no surprise because, before this week is over and perhaps as early as Monday. Although no one has had the dignity to tell general manager Randy Mueller he is on the way out, the decision to fire him was made before the Dolphins lost their season finale 38-25 to the Bengals on Sunday. Although Mueller has been told nothing by football czar Bill Parcells, he has obviously gotten the clue he is not long for the Dolphins. Team sources say they saw Mueller driving away from Dolphin Stadium with two minutes yet to play in Sunday's game. Some say that by Wednesday and likely no later than the end of this week, coach Cam Cameron will be fired as well. Parcells has been around the Dolphins less than a week. He has seen only two full practices, one walkthrough practice and one game in person. And he already knows Cameron is not the man he wants running his team. Parcells apparently told owner Wayne Huizenga he has heard stories about Cameron spending some of his time monitoring the team's website to make sure the players are being asked the right questions by club-employed reporters. Cameron also wanted to make sure the players were giving the right answers. Parcells told Huizenga he doesn't want a coach that is worried about blogs or website interviews. He wants a tough-minded, hard-driven football man who is more concerned with football than facade.
Also from the Miami Herald: interesting...
Quote:
Cam Cameron, who reportedly could be let go this week, even has lost some support from his staff. ''Some coaches aren't fans of Cameron -- the religious stuff wears on them,'' one close associate of the staff said. (Cameron is religious and perceived by some as judgmental.) One player said he appears to second-guess defensive coordinator Dom Capers at times.

Man, what a difference Chambers has made. I'd love to see what Cameron could do with that added dimension on the field.

Teams have to chose now. 8 in the box to stop LT. Double Gates, double Chambers, play straight up.

If we had Chambers last year instead of Eric Parker, who knows what they could have done. Well wishful thinking anyway.

has there been any word on whoa replacement might be? first name that comes to my mind is cowher. If big bill can land him id say the turnaround of the dolphins will come pretty darn quick. esp. with parcells drafting.

Cowher wants full personnel control I believe. That ain't happening. I don't think two guys of that stature can co-exist either.
