Without the hype, he's a pretty solid player who could be special if he gets some consistency.

With the hype, he's incredibly overrated. The whole Mario Williams/Reggie Bush situation proves why ESPN personalities are on TV and not GMs.

I will say this though, if Bush learns how to run inbetween the tackles, he could actually start living up to the hype.

But right now, he is a product of highlight films and ESPN Hype.

I think he is a good player but he was way overhyped. That being said, he has only been in the league two years. I don't think he has hit full stride yet.

I think he is a bust, sure he shows flashes like BK said, but still he is a number 2 pick and was suppose to rip up the NFL, like AD is doing. So I would say he will be a good back, but not great. Bk, I still say he is to small for a every down back.

I thought he played great down the stretch in his rookie year. I thought he struggled last year, but he had some injury issues and to be honest pretty much all the Saints struggled last year.
I can't say much more then this but I do think that maybe he's been overrated a bit too much. As it stands right now he's a slightly better version of Eric Metcalf. He's only 2 years into his career so there's still a chance to break out but I just don't see him being that ultimate franchise guy that everyone made him out to be when he came out of USC.

I don't see how he's overrated because no one overrates him anymore. He was overhyped coming out of college but I think that's different than overrated. He's been a pretty good player so far but he still likes to try and bounce everything to the outside and it costs him yards. I really think he's going to figure it out this year and put up some very good numbers.

He was over hyped as late as last year. Plus there's the continuous myth that he's "a threat to score every time he touches the ball" when statistically he's one of, if not the worst big play running backs in the league.
