Metro Police say they interviewed Walker Tuesday night at Sunrise Hospital. The NFL player reportedly lost more than $100,000 worth of cash and jewelry.
That's a lot of cash and jewelry to have on yourself in a club that's open to the public. Now he's lying about how the robbery happened. Why would he lie. Insurance?

It's hard feeling sorry for a high paid pro athlete but man has he had a rough life over the last couple of years. This is gonna get uglier as more facts come out. Just seems like telling the true story would've at least been a little better here.
I totally agree. Walker did not do anything wrong or illegal. While he could have excercised better judgement, he is the victim here.

I also agree, if in fact he got lured out of the club and attacked, why not say so??

Although... I don't know if Walker himself has actually made a statement. The room abduction story has been attributed to him, but did he himself actually give that account?

Re: That's Never Good

Get a big room to in your home, some drinks, and invite a bunch of groupies over.

Is that such a hard thing for an athlete to do?

SURVEILLANCE TAPE CONTRADICTS JAVON’S CLAIMS

Posted by Mike Florio on June 21, 2008, 9:12 p.m.
To the surprise of no one (save for the 10 percent of folks who responded to our current poll in the affirmative), Raiders receiver Javon Walker’s version of the events culminating in the taking of an involuntary nap on a Las Vegas street has been contradicted by surveillance video.

According to Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, police have video of Walker getting into a car under his own power, and that he is not being coerced.

Walker was found at 7:30 a.m. local time, unconscious in a pool of blood. He had left the Body English night club at 3:00 a.m. after a night of spraying champagne (and, presumably, drinking hose water).

Re: That's Never Good

When individuals suffer head trauma their memory are unreliable at best. The hotel room piece didn't make sense because the level of surveillance in most hotels.

He lost 100,000 in cash and jewelry. Dam.

That reminds me of the Hillary Clinton "Bosnia sniper fire" story from a while back.

I wonder what really happened with Walker.
