Re: Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show

Yeah, halftime shows usually suck. But I really enjoyed last year's with Tom Petty.

Ever since the JT/Janet Jackson thing, they haven't been booking modern bands/artists.

Pretty sure that the stadium would explode on account of being oversaturated with epic amounts of win.

I agree. But I'm also a big Petty fan, so even though it wasn't the best performance, at all, I enjoyed it.

Yeah, same here.

At least it wasn't Prince. What the **** was that?

Seriously. I don't really wanna see anyone from my grandparents era parading on stage. But then again, who else could you put up there? Soulja Boy

If I made a post that said the sky is blue and the grass is green, somebody would disagree with it. I love it.
Take it for what it's worth, but 8 of the top 10 grossing concerts in 2008 came from the likes of Cher, Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, and Neil Diamond. On top of that consider the fact that people were giving up their first born to see a one night show by Led Zeppelin and The Police had huge sales on their tour, one may deduce that the "Old Farts" in this world still have some cache. Whether or not some people care to admit it, The Boss still has legs.
