Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

I'm mad at how his players came out against him.. he may not be the nicest guy, but he's generally a good coach he won a Super bowl with Brad Johnson as his QB for god's sakes. They should just kepp their mouths shut. If you don't got nothing good to say, don't say nothing seriously.

Gruden is overrated.

I'd rather have Mangini myself.

Same feeling for me. I'd rather the Jets hire Rex Ryan.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

Raheem Morris was def. a great defensive backs coach. should be interesting to see how he does as a head coach, especially with the success of the the new coaches that were in the league this year. I'm just glad we didn't get Shanahan to be honest.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

New head coach and GM will be announced today at 3:30.

Apparently comcast sports knows who it is...take this information with a grain of salt because I have not seen it anywhere but on comcast:
Quote:
Within hours of dismissing their Super Bowl-winning coach, the Bucs turned to defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as the successor - a move confirmed Friday by a person familiar with the decision who requested anonymity because the team had not yet scheduled an announcement.
Quote:
Director of pro personnel Mark Dominik, who has been with the Bucs for 14 seasons, will replace Allen.

Billick???? BRIAN BILLICK???? Not a chance. In fact, your post is the first time I have heard Brian Billicks name come up for ANY job in the NFL in the last 2 seasons. Coincidence??? Billick is a scrub, possibly the worst coach in NFL history to ever win a superbowl (yes, Switzer included), and I doubt he will ever be an NFL head coach ever again.

Brian Billick. What a Total Jackass.

Oh yeah, I can most definitely confirm that Raheem Morris has been announced as head coach of the Buccaneers. I watched some of the Bucs press conference while on NFL Network.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

I really do not understand where this team is headed. I really think they need to blow this thing up roster wise.

I'm more concerned about who the OC will be frankly.

Morris is not a offensive guy, and I do not know if I can take another year of horrible offensive play with no speed or game breakers on that side of the ball.

Eventually, this franchise has to address the offensive side of the ball. Otherwise it won't matter who the Head coach is.

And I'm a defensive guy who started liking the Bucs because of Dungy and that 'Cover 2' scheme.

But enough is enough. This team has probably the worst playmakers on Offense in the league.

It's not even like they are structured to be defensive powers cap wise like during the Dungy era. It was understandable then when a prime Sapp, Barber, Brooks, Lynch, etc.....took up all of their salary cap and were very dominant why doing so.

They 'seem' to still be preaching defense 1st but, they do not even have any studs on D like before. Ruud is nice other than that, there is nothing special on our D nowadays.

They need to rebuild the offense with speed IMO. I really liked the addition of Bryant last year.

But other than that......SMH
