Re: How did Peyton Manning win MVP?

What more likely too happen a team gettin a weak PI call which leads to a gamewinning fg or having 3 turnovers in the final 3 mins of the game which 1 is return for a score and the other sets up on the opposing teams 15 yardline whick lead to another score?

Comparing the jville game to the texans game has no merit.

At 11-5 does Manning win the mvp, do the colts make the playoffs?

Can the jags stop people from going 14/17 and 17/17 completions at the half?

At 11-5, they would've made the Playoffs. Don't you remember..they clinched a Playoff spot in week 16 when they had 11 wins. They had the tiebreaker with New England and Baltimore so they still would've been the 5th seed at 11-5. And yes, he still would've won the MVP. One game back in week 5 doesn't decide MVP's.

Stats don't win championships. But unfortunately 9/10 times the NFL MVP will be a stat based QB or WR and wont even play in the SB.

Re: How did Peyton Manning win MVP?

Umm,

Because Manning led the Colts to a 12-4 record with no running game and a suspect D.

Because he came back from an injury missing training camp and once he was back to 100% he dominated and was the best QB in the NFL for the last 9 games.

Because he had 7 4th qtr comebacks

Because the Colts won 9 straight and finished with the 2nd best record in the NFL

Because the Colts had the best record for playoff making teams and he was the main reason why.

Because the Colts go 4-12 at best without him this season, an 8 game swing. The Saints do not go 0-16 without brees, the cards do not go 1-15 without warner. NO PLAYER could be argued to be that big a swing for their team this year.

Pretty easy to see why he won (thus why he ran away with it, why most past/present players/coaches said he was the easy choice, etc) and anyone who can't see it knows next to nothing about football. Naturally though some wannabe football experts behind thier computer screens will argue it.

I find it funny people bring up stats for others but whenever Manning leads in stats people discount them. It'd be much simpler if people would just say they don't like him and thus will be biased.

Oh and I love that people will look at the Cards getting to the SB and say "see Warner should have been the MVP!!" and say Manning wasn't deserving because of the Colts going nowhere. Umm, if you use that logic then you can pretty much say 95% of the MVPs should not have deserved it since their teams went nowhere in the playoffs.

It is pretty simple to see that the whole thing behind the MVP points to the team not winning come playoff time because if the team was so good they would not need to rely on one guy as much as they do.
