Derek Anderson would be a nice runner up prize...

As for Kitna, he's a really good back up, should do much, much better than Johnson. Wouldn't see much of a dropoff between he and Romo.

lol yes the prima donna "celebrity" QB is more of a problem than the prima donna "celebrity" WR. I think so. At least the WR is extremely competitive, and cares about winning (and has won).

the QB position is more important than WR also, and more often a bigger factor in winning and losing. That is why the "franchise QB" needs to be accountable, and Romo is one of the least accountable franchise QBs ive ever seen.

Neither Romo nor Owens is as big of a problem as the pass defense or the offensive line's pass protection.

Romo needs to be held accountable when he screws up, yes; any and every player does. That said, Dallas could do a LOT worse at the quarterback position right now than Romo. In addition, I really somehow doubt that Romo really doesn't care whether he wins or loses, despite his comments after the 44-6 Eagles' game.

Re: Kitna for Henry

If Kitna can throw a deep ball better than Romo I am all for him starting. Because know that in Garrett's offense there is only 1 route being ran less than 20 yards and that is the TE(if he doesn't go deep down the middle too)

The Cowboy's line would be just fine if they didn't have to block for 10 seconds. Romo has to wait for his receiver to get 30 yards downfield before they make a break. All in the playcalling

I'll readily admit that Garrett's star fell significantly over the course of last season, but at this juncture I still think he is and can continue to be at least a capable offensive coordinator. There's no reason - none - to push the plunger on what the Cowboys have right now, and getting rid of Romo or Garrett would be effectively doing such.

I would like to see the Cowboys get more speed on the field this upcoming season, however; I feel like once we lost Felix Jones, it was all downhill from the team really didn't have a true home-run threat to respect. The Roy Williams trade obviously did not help in this regard whatsoever. Maybe this means run lots of three-receiver, no fullback sets with Crayton, Austin, or even Jones as the third receiving option?

Bottom line, I do NOT understand all the negativity surrounding the Cowboys right now. Yes, they underachieved mightily last season, given the expectations, but it's not like we're in rebuilding mode or are completely hapless; we have some pieces to work with and can have a successful team if the powers-that-be can put this puzzle of a team together.

Re: Kitna for Henry

The cowboys lost their 1st and 2nd string rbs in the 2nd half of the season.

I like my team if we get more physical on our offense. Kitna is a great pick up and Anthony Henry looked old for the last 2 or 3 seasons.

Re: Kitna for Henry

At least Kitna's more durable then Brad Johnson. That's the only positive I can throw out there because if Romo goes down and Kitna has to play some games he'll just trot out there with his MO of having 3 1/2 good quarters and then imploding down the stretch.
