Anybody remember Fred Lane?

Unfortunately, his golddigging thug of a wife is expected to be released today.

Isn't justice peachy keen???? Eight years for premeditated murder.

I remember him. This act is disgusting, she should be in jail the rest of her life. Unfortunately justice is not always served. I'm gonna be a CMPD officer in about 4 months after I finish training and I'm learning people get away with way too much.

Wow I remember Fred Lane but this is the first I have heard of this story. I joined the Army that year and was in basic training. It is amazing that I am still learning of things that happened over that time.

Same here, except I was in Marine Corps bootcamp (Jun 1st - August 25th, 2000)...

Wow. What an upstanding family Deidra Lane comes from.

How can a judge grant custody to the parents of two convicted felons? Maybe Lane's family couldn't care for the child? I don't know...I wouldn't have wanted my grandchild to be raised by these parents.

One child was in prison for the murder of her husband, and the other in prison for committing 5 bank robberies.

Just another reason i hate people. The woman, the courts, the fact HER parents have the child..... How terrible.

Her brother, John Brandon Gary, was convicted of committing five bank robberies in Mecklenburg between 1999 and 2000.Sentenced to 114 years in prison, Gary was accused of getting away with $310,864 in the bank heists.
His projected release date is April 25, 2101.
Murder your husband in cold blood and serve eight years.

Rob a few banks and serve 114 years.

You've got to just love the justice system.
