But why add him to the base defense just to give him more wear? I can understand you're going to start him at safety and then move him to nickel back when we go into that set, but what's the point? You just subject him to more punishment by doing that. Why not wait through free agency to see if anyone else is available, then look to draft someone, and if both of those fail, then make the move. Just don't understand juggling a player like him to fulfill a position that -at least in my mind- wasn't THAT big of a deal last year outside of the Ravens game. People complain about it, but I think our defense looked so bad at times last year because it spent too long on the field. Not sure what our 3-and-out rate was, but it had to be close to highest in the league.
