Little went to jail:

Quote:
After attending a drunken birthday party in 1998, Little crashed into and killed another motorist, Susan Gutweiler in St. Louis, MO. When tested, his blood alcohol level measured 0.19 percent, a level that exceeds the statutory level of intoxication of 0.08 in the state of Missouri.[5] Little received 90 days in jail, four years probation and 1000 hours of community service.
That's a far cry from the 15 years you or I would've gotten but to be fair, that was just before we all started taking drinking and driving more seriously. In terms of Little, I'm more upset he wasn't punished more after getting his 2nd DUI.

I didn't say he didn't go to jail, I said he is still a free man.

90 days for killing someone...That's an injustice I can't even begin to fathom, and me or you in '98 would've still gotten years, and then more years, and then probation.

His negiligence should've cost him the better part of his life, and his NFL career.

Our justice system is a joke.

He is not getting 15 years. He will have the best lawyer money can buy. He will however have to pay the family some major dough.

Its sad to admit this but in college if I was out drinking a lot the night before, chances are that morning when I was driving home I would have been close to the legal limit.

I feel for everyone involved here.

Yeah, it's unfortunate.

DUI should have about a week long trial. Unlike a real murder, no investigation is needed. If you're drunk and you kill someone, you're guilty. The punishment should be a gunshot to the back of the head into a mass grave filled with other drunk driving murderers. Keep it quick and simple.

Wow. I'd like to see your punishment for child molesters.

My bad, I didn't mean to make it seem like I disagree with you. I thought you were saying Little was free like he never did any time so Stallworth might get off. 90 days was a joke... my point was relative to Little, Stallworth might get a joke of a sentence compared to me or you, but it won't be anywhere close to 90 days either. Times have changed and the drinking and driving laws have gotten much more strict. Stallworth is going to do some serious time, imo. He won't get 15 years but 2 or more wouldn't shock me. Still not as harsh as it should be, but that's around where I think it'll be.

I've had a few of those nights too, but honestly, whether it's that night or the next morning, if you can still blow a .08 then you still shouldn't be driving. I'd be lying if I said I've NEVER done it, but just because you slept some of it off, .08 says you're drunk. The only way I feel sorry for Stallworth is that he took somebody's life unintentionally, and is going to have to live with that until he dies. But he doesn't deserve any sympathy if the timetable he gave is true... and I seriously doubt it is.
