Re: Undrafted FA Rookies Signed

Well 'Tree was the fastest WR at the combine. I'm sure if his speed can show up on the field, he'll find a way to make the team.

Not only that, Kevin Ogletree was a more consistent, more polished, and more productive player in college than the more talented Darius Heyward-Bey. He's not the freak athlete that DHB is, but he did more with less physical talent and was a great route runner for the Hoos.

If he's gonna stick with the Cowboys, though, he's really going to have to work at it, as the Cowboys drafted a receiver, have brought in a second UFA WR, and probably will bring back a few talented guys from last year's minicamps that didn't make last year's opening day roster. Not to mention that whoever wins Michael Irvin's reality show may very well be a receiver as well, lol.

I'm shocked Carolina didn't pick up some 240lb RB's & more candidates to claim those hard to fill 7th string OL positions.

If that's the case, I'm shocked the Raiders didn't draft him in the 3rd round.

That's because it isn't true... Ogletree ran a 4.46 at the combine according to NFL.com, though he ran a 4.36 according to the Chicago Sun-Times (which is better but not better than DHB). Sorry, Linty

That said, he was only behind Hakeem Nicks in receiving yards in the ACC last year despite UVa playing with four different quarterbacks over the course of the season. He can get open.

Re: Undrafted FA Rookies Signed

I'm happy for my college roommate's brother.

Andrew Downey (LB, Maine) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Lions. Good opportunity for him. Lions are apparently looking to play him outside.

Lots of good defensive players coming out of Maine. Good coach with a pro-style system. I'm hoping the best for him.

Re: Undrafted FA Rookies Signed

Sounds like the Texans picked up Arian Foster and Jeremiah Johnson. Two interesting running backs.
