Re: Does Anyone Else Kind of Think the Brett Favre Saga is Sort of Cool?

I can't find myself thinking that a guy would hold an organization captive over the course of 3 off-seasons with retirement talk. Then when he does finally say he's done and the organization moves on and doesn't beg him to come back, he decides to unretire and throws a hissy fit when they say, thank you, we've moved on. Offered him a $20 mill a year position (to basically go away) once he's done and only asked that he not play for a hated division rival. Plays another year, is a huge part of a reason a coach was fired and then still wants to play another season after begging the team that traded for him to release him just to stick it to the organization that he played with for over a decade because they went with a younger guy after he retired....

Not cool at all.

Note: while I realize there is a thread about him going to the Vikings, this thread is about him in general, so don't lock it with a generic statement. I know its a knee jerk reflex for you guys, but I am discussing him in a different context than the Vikings thread.

Yes you are along.. Brett is patetic

If he was still with the Broncos, and year after year kept winning the starting job, then maybe it would be like rocky.

The Brett Favre saga is about as cool or "badass" as getting hit in the nuts with a sledgehammer.

Lol at this topic. Sorry its not cool at all its very very old. The 1st time this happen was bad enough, but now we have to go through this all over again. If he comes back he will have another mediocre year, and do the same thing next off-season.

When I think of Brett Favre and his whole retirement stuff, the last word that comes to mind is "badass."
