And they are often fighting to make the playoffs, too

The Bills have been 7-9 for the last 3 years, which means they've been very close, and divisional games matter even more. Common mis-perception if you don't watch AFC East games, though.

Plus, compared to the New York vs. New York games in other sports, it lags behind. Yankees vs. Mets and Rangers vs. Islanders are much bigger rivalries. Maybe even Knicks vs. Nets. I don't really sense a lot of hatred between the 2 teams or fanbases, especially not from the Giants side.

While there are more punch-'em in the mouth division rivalries, like Steelers-Ravens,I don't think anything can beat Colts-Patriots.

Both teams have been very good and many times the two best teams in the past decade with the two elite qb's of recent years.

those teams are only your guys rivals bc they are in the same division, over the past few years ever since Carolina beat yaw in the NFC wildcard game... the rivalry between the 2 teams has grown. im not sayn its the biggest rivalry ... just a rivalry with growing tensions between the 2 teams.
