The old Bucks, Broncos and Lions uniforms should come back full time.

Especially Denver.

I guess im part of the few who actually like these? I like seeing teams wear the older stuff every now an then....me being only 19..I didnt have the pleasure of seeing these back in the day so...its kinda like re-living the times in a way

This is an awesome site that has all the old logos, helmet designs, and whatnot, for all the teams. I spent 20 minutes just clicking through -- it was amazing how much I had forgotten until seeing the old design made me remember. Like the Giants helmets used to actually say Giants, not NY, all the way up to 2000. I remember watching Phil Simms in the superbowl wearing the old style helmet but I'd have never remembered if I didn't look at it. I totally forgot about the original Ravens logo too.

It's also easy to see the disappearance of bright colors. The niners went from red to maroon, the broncos went to darker blue, the bucs went to gray, the eagles went from bright green to dark green, Falcons jerseys went from red to black, Saints went to a less saturated gold, Cardinals went to a darker red, the horns on the rams helmets went from bright yellow to a less saturated gold.... Now when you look at one throwback like the bucs uniforms, it looks a little outlandish... But at the time, everybody had brighter, more colorful uniforms, so it all just fit.

Anyway, I think the reason I like throwbacks is it reminds me of when I was a kid and guys like Joe Montana and Jerry Rice were larger than life. There wasn't endless harping about contracts -- I'm sure it went on back then too, but it felt more about the game, less about the business. It was just less... tawdry. I don't remember any players getting into gun battles at strip clubs either.

If you're into marketing, it's interesting to see the change in fonts and styles for the superbowl logo each year too.

Well there's a reason they changed the uniforms, they were hideous then and they're hideous now.

I'll just say......thank goodness the Bucs changed their unis. They went from having those god-awful orangies to the very good unis they have now.
