Former Jim Kelly backup QB Alex Van Pelt takes over the offense. Yikes...a week & change before the Pats game? Didn't see this one coming. Sure, the offense has sucked balls in the preseason but...preseason doesn't matter, right?

Is it really going to matter? This team was going to stink regardless of who was at the helm. And I fully expect that at the end of the year, Buffalo will join several other teams in the Bill Cowher/Mike Shanahan sweepstakes. And both of those guys would want to bring their own guys in anyway. To me, this is just trying to salvage what little hope any of their fans still had for this season.

Usually I go into a season optimistic. Not this year. They're going to stink and stink royally, with or without Turk.

Are Offensive Coordinators really even necesssary now considering that almost most of the HC in the league are calling the plays anyway?

its not like it really matters in the NFL who the OC is

they all run the same plays from the same basic schemes anyway

the only thing really different is the situational playcalling i guess

Yes, the OC matters. Dick Jauron is a defensive minded coach and FFS we REALLY don't want him calling plays. This makes me sick to my stomach. The Bills sold the most season tickets ever this year and this is what the fans get? I want to kill myself.
