Icon2 Week 2: Vikings @ Lions

Start with two road games to enter the season and now Adrien Peterson gets to try his hand at the Lions defense.

Let's play Peterson guess the yardage game... who's up first?

AD is going for 120 and 2 TDs while Favre is going for over 250 and 3 TDs. Favre needs some more practice with his recievers and who better to throw against than the Lions.

This is basically going to be a scrimmage for Favre and company. Also, the Vikings defense is extremely good (a hell of a lot better than New Orleans' defense anyway) and should keep Stafford pretty rattled throughout. I think the Vikings will have this game out of reach by halftime.

Peterson runs for 140 yards and a TD in this.

Lions looked not too bad during the Saints game. What Drew Brees did to them, he can do to almost any other team. Hopefully the Lions can pull out the W but I don't see it happening.

I would say this game is hardly a scrimmage for the Vikings. They were a horrific pass interference call and a Gus Frerotte injury (Tavaris Jackson came off the bench and saved the day in the 4th quarter) from losing both games to the winless Lions team of last year.

Much of the Saints' success on defense against the Lions was the 3-4 alignment they unveiled, which was unexpected by the Lions since they haven't shown any of that this preseason or anytime last season. Meanwhile, the Vikings are a clear 4-3 team, so the Lions won't be caught off-guard nearly as bad this time around.

Re: Week 2: Vikings @ Lions

I am torn with this one. On one hand I like AP but I hate favre and want to see him fail miserably yet again so maybe all the insane fans he still has left will just accept he is a piece of trash....so for AP and the rest of the team I'd like to see them win but for favre I want a bad loss though maybe the compromise is they win while he throws 3+ INTs with a rating under 50. On the other hand, I don't want the Lions to win because I find their losing streak to be amusing yet it would be funny if the Vikes lost to them.

The only for sure thing I know is I want AP to run for 150+ and get 2k yards this season.

The only way the Vikings or any other team for that matter will lose to the Lions is if they come into the game looking towards the next week.

Next week is not a huge challenge for us in San Fran, so I give the Vikings a 42-7 victory behind 3 more TDs from Adrian.

The Lions didn't look bad? Stafford threw 3 interceptions and got destroyed. The only bright spot for them was their special teams, which put them in position to get scores.
