NFL Redzone Channel-Comcast Viewers

I was going to bump the Direct TV thread that we were discussing this in but decided to start a new thread just to make sure anyone who may not be aware of this is.

NFL Networks Redzone channel will be available to anyone with Comcast who subscribes to the Sports Entertainment Channel. Channel 278.

I was scrolling through the channels the other day and came across it and it was confirmed through on demand that it will be available for this package.

Sorry if this is old news to some, I didn't see it discussed last week. Just wanted to give the heads up.

Comcast is funny. I was watching it on Sunday and they called me today to notify me that it was now available.

I love the channel. Good way to keep track of the players on my fantasy team.

Re: NFL Redzone Channel-Comcast Viewers

Assuming it's the same as on DTV it's a channel that switches between games typically when one team is in the red zone (hence the name) but I've seen it switch games mid drive when no team is in the red zone.

Personally, I didn't like watching it, too jumpy, might be good on the cable DVR having it on one tuner and a real game on another, so you can switch over and scan through what had been going on, but watching it all the time was annoying.

Did you have to pay $50 as a stand alone channel or as part of a package of other channels?

I am with RCN and we don't have to pay for the NFL Network. So, yes I paid for NFL redzone as a seperate channel.
