Re: Should the Raiders Draft A QB in the 1st RD of the 2010 NFL Draft?

I thought Oakland doesn't have their 1st after the Seymour deal?

Anyways, I think Oakland needs some stability in other places like Head Coach before they consider drafting a QB in the first round.

Second, IMO it'd be better for them to get an established QB that will be more able to handle the craziness in Oakland than a rookie. I'm sure there will be at least some talented veteran QB's available this year considering the Eagles QB situation and other teams that could be ready to move on from their current starters. Add to the fact that Oakland has a plethora of talented RB's they could deal if it came down to a trade.

Third, there is too much money invested in JaMarcus over a long period of time to think about drafting a QB in the first round.

Fourth, they need some damn receivers. Schillens, Zach Miller at TE and Louis Murphy (I think that's his name) are a good start but they could use a go-to guy.

raiders will not and do not need to draft a qb in the 1st round. al davis has way too much invested into jamarcus to start a new again. i think the raiders end up drafting taylor mays or oline.

No they shouldn't. They should let other teams, that actually have a competent organization, draft QB's.

why should they draft one they just got Russell a few yrs ago....let him develop a little more to determine if you really need another QB..give the man a chance to succeed before you throw him to the wolves

Huff isnt bad, but Taylor Mays would look bad*** in black/silver. But they could also take Eric Berry, they need a playmaker on defense. Either is a win for the Raiders. Also the reason Russell will never develop is because he doesnt have a successful QB to learn from, Charlie Frye or Bruce Godskowski(sp?) are his mentors.
