Much better trade for Tampa. Chicago's going to be terrible in a couple of years with these bad drafts.

Even still, can't see why a guy wouldn't have thrived with Layne Monte Kiffin coaching him the last few years (sans this season).
FIXED.

Hmm, maybe that was a poor statement because they hit a home run in 2008. What do you think of the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009 draft classes?

'05 - We've got no one left from this one.
'06 - Manning, Hester, Mark Anderson. A bit of potential there.
'07 - Greg Olsen, Kevin Payne. Two long term starters.
'08 - Chris Williams, Matt Forte, Earl Bennett. Three long term starters.
'09 - Knox is the only one making an impact right now, but a lot of potential here as well.

Research before you say something ludicrous, man. We'll be just fine.

The only good class was '08. 14 of the 43 players drafted in that time-span haven't played an NFL game/haven't recorded a meaningful statistic. 31 of the 43 players never started the majority of a single season. The average Bears starter is 27 years old (meaning drafted in '04 or earlier), and you haven't drafted a Pro Bowl player since 2006. You haven't drafted a Pro Bowl, non-special teams player since 2004. Maybe that's why I made that comment.

More importantly, every time anyone trades a high draft pick for a player, it doesn't work out. I can't think of any times it's worked out in recent memory.

Re: Gaines Adams is now a Bear

Y'all gotta include Cutler in that '09 draft class..... Whether it's good or bad is up to you..... What did the Broncos do with that 1st rounder? Did it turn into Moreno or was that their pick in the first place? I digress, I think the Bucs made a good move for the future, even if Adams blossoms in Chicago.
