Seems like he could be a good leader but he's going to need help being coached to protect the ball. They do seem to have him out there with a lot of empty backfield formations. Lot of responsibility early on for a rookie.

Yeah he's a rookie so you expect him to make mistakes, especially being on a bad team. He's shown flashes of brilliances and at times he's shown that he is definitely a rookie. Jerome Bettis wrote a really good article on Monday kind of comparing Stafford to Peyton as a rookie. Sometimes he does something special, but then he goes and throws 3 interceptions to the same guy. Wish I still had the link.
