Lightbulb Matthew Stafford made the Hall of Fame?

Well, at least his torn jersey did. Along with the football he threw to Calvin Johnson for the long touchdown during the Browns game. Good for the rook.

Stafford's “damaged” jersey and football arrive in Canton

Cool. It's neat that they keep up with new exhibits like that.

Been awhile since the Lions have been able to celebrate a historic win like that, congrats to both Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford. The rook has heart coming back with a seperated shoulder, no doubt there. Lets not make it a habit tho, they are my teams division rival.

If something comes from Stafford in the future, then I'll be impressed. Till then, he's a guy whose team needed an extra, untimed down to beat one of the worst teams in NFL history. I don't find anything legendary enough Sunday, to warrant memorializing in Canton.

He set a bunch of rookie single game records in that shootout. That's why they put all that stuff in Canton. IIRC, Ted Ginn's cleats from the Jets game a few weeks back when he ran back two kicks for TDs are going to Canton.

I recognize the record. But coming against the Browns seems to require an * almost. The reason he threw so much was because his team gave up in a quarter what usually takes Cleveland a month. The torn jersey & pain stuff will seem significant if he becomes a QB known for winning & heroics. Otherwise, its all a footnote only Stafford's relatives will appreciate. Or become an item of ignomy if the Browns become Clipper/Royals terrible.
