Peyton. I can't think of any player in recent memory who has meant more to his team. Take that dude away and the Colts are garbage.

I'll go with Manning.

Peyton Manning.

If the Patriots had Manning instead of Brady during the decade, they'd win just as many games as they did with Brady. Maybe even more. The same couldn't be said for the Colts if they had Brady instead of Manning.

The truth is, Tom Brady is just part of a team. He's like Troy Aikman for the Cowboys in the '90s, or Terry Bradshaw for the Steelers in the '70s. On the other hand, Peyton Manning is the Indianapolis Colts. There's no "team" without him. Like Elway with the Broncos in the '80s, or Brett Favre for the Packers in the '90s.

If Brady had Marvin Harrison,Reggie Wayne a running back that made 4 Pro Bowls behind him (3 of Dillons being with the Bengals so no that doesn't count and his one good year with the Pats they won the Super Bowl) instead of Deion Branch,David Givens and Kevin Faulk you don't think he'd win just as many,if not more games?

That's why I'm picking Brady. He won with a bunch of average and sub-par recivers and run games.

Brady also had a better defense and O-Line.

People overrate Manning's weapons simply because of how good he makes them. Marvin Harrison isn't a HOF WR without Manning and Wayne isn't a top 5 WR in the game either without Manning.

Honestly, there isn't another QB alive that could make Brandon Stokley into a 1000 yard/10 TD receiver. James, Rhodes, Stokley, and Pollard all became hot garbage after they left Indianapolis.

To the original posters question, it's Manning IMO. Brady and Manning are the only two QB's I think should be in contention.

Exactly. Ben has MAJOR nuts when it comes to winning big games.
