A few things that help Jack Del Rio is that he still has a couple of years on his contract and Wayne Weaver does not really have the money to pay him and a new coach. Also despite having a roster where half the players are new they were on the cusp of a playoff spot.

However, Weaver needs to build excitement for the team again so if there is a chance for him to land someone like Cowher then anything is possible.

Absolutely not. Marty got shafted with having the worst GM in NFL history on his side. He did make a couple of really bad mistakes *Taking the wind, WTF?* but he is a great offensive coordinator and could do wonders working under Holmgren again.

I believe Marty to be a competent coach in the NFL that got a raw deal with the worst team of this century.
