Marshawn Lynch??

Stealing 20 bucks?

Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch just can't stay out of the (bad) news during the offseason. He pleaded guilty to a traffic violation after a hit-and-run incident in 2008. He was put on three years probation and suspended three games by the NFL after he was stopped by police, who found Lynch's loaded gun in a vehicle in February 2009. Now he may be in trouble again. Lynch is accused of stealing $20 from a women at a TGI Friday's in December. The woman's husband, who just happens to be Buffalo Police Sgt. William Crawford, filed a complaint with police a day after the incident, but they delayed giving a statement to detectives until earlier this week, in part because she wanted to wait until the Bills' football season ended and Lynch was out of town because he threatened her friend. Crawford said his wife's girlfriend was approached at the restaurant by another member of the Buffalo Bills, who struck up a conversation with the unmarried woman. At some point, Lynch arrived at the restaurant and joined them. When the woman's girlfriend stepped away from the table, Crawford said his wife pulled out a $20 bill to pay their check in preparation for leaving. Lynch then grabbed the money from her hand. He first played it off as a joke, but still didn't give the money back. According to Crawford, when the girlfriend approached Lynch and demanded the money back, Lynch threatened her saying "Do you know who I am? There's going to be consequences."

re: Marshawn Lynch??

Ugh. Lynch is becoming more of a headache then we can tolerate. With Fred Jackson proving he's a legitimate NFL halfback, Lynch is expendable. It'll hurt our depth at RB, but it may be worth it.

By the way, this incident is too stupid. Congratulations Lynch, you're now a millionaire with 20 extra bucks... loser.

re: Marshawn Lynch??

It's just so hard to believe some of this stuff he has done after meeting him. Granted I only met him once, but I did spend several hours playing cards with him. The dude seemed so nice and laid back when I met him at Casino Niagara two years ago. We ended up at the same poker table ($10/$20 NL Hold 'Em) and he was down thousands of dollars and still buying everyone drinks and had a smile on his face the whole time. I really don't want to believe this, but SMH if it's true. It's too bad too, because he really did seem like a nice kid.

I know Lynch has his issues, but this really is too hard to believe and there almost has to be a more reasonable explanation.

Even if it's not true the man is as good as gone in Buffalo. Fred Jackson has won the fans hearts and has cemented himself as the #1 RB in the offense.

Yeah I've met him a few times now and he's always come across as a mad nice guy. Pretty crazy all the trouble he's gotten himself into.

re: Marshawn Lynch??

I'll be interested to hear the whole story. But it is odd how this guy seems to find trouble as much as he does.
