Yah the Pats used to use it a lot or at least a similar crazy scheme. I think they'll come up with another new one for the Colts.

The biggest pro is that it hides schemes. Quarterbacks have a harder time reading coverage, and centers have an even harder time reading blitz packages.

The biggest con is if you don't have the horses to play it. It takes good football awareness to play it, and it has a tendency to give up a lot of big plays (like most blitzing defensive schemes do) if blocked correctly. You also need good press cover corners (i.e. McAlister for Baltimore, Revis for the Jets) because they end up on an island for the better part of the game,
Basically, It works great for Revis because he's such a great shut down corner. He's shut down every elite guy he's faced. He simply Great..

I personally like this defense and think it has a good chance at being effective against Manning and the Colts.
Biggest pro has to be its ability to disguise blitz packages and coverages.

Biggest con could be if the defense is caught out of place if a Qb sees a pattern but I dont see the happening. But if anyone can exploit it I would say Peytons got the best shot.

running that defense here is what happens when you don't have great players in all positions. when playing that walk around the safety also walks up and he has to get back to give over the top help in that case he didn't . but even the best give up plays like that

I don't know if the walk around is similar to the "Physco" defense the Packers dialed up a few times this season.

They had one DL, 5LB's and 5 CB's. The front 6 all were standing up and not setting up on D. It suppose to confuse the QB of who's coming or not and the OL blitz pickups.

It was successful against the Bears, not successful against the Cards.

Kerry Rhodes should have been back but you guys are in fact claiming that Revis can shut down any WR in the NFL by himself. That just isn't true. As I have visual evidence.

In fact for most of the year Revis has safety help.

The "walking around" defense is great to disguise blitzes. Unfortunately I'm not sure how well it's going to work this week against Peyton.
