Every media "expert" is a domer. They're also dook/UNC/UCLA basketball fans, Washington/Dallas/NYC pro football fans, and Boston/LA/NYC pro basketball/baseball fans. The media caters to the money.

Notre Dame has the money in college football.
Actually most of my opinions stem from Vic Ketchman, who writes for the Jaguars website. I love his Q&A column. He's usually spot-on about judging college players.

First Clausen physical tools are good ,but nothing execptional. Once again Russell was/is way more of a physical specimen then Clausen and Russell sucks. I already said playing QB you need to be more celebral anyways. Clausen is mostly hype then he is skill. And skill is only a part of the QB position.
No, I haven't watched Tate do that. He might be good, but I have my doubts.

As for Clausen, of course he doesn't have the physical tools Russell has. No one does, but what he has over Russell is his mental game is much more developed, he's a hard worker, and he's already played in a pro style offense. Considering that, I think Clausen has a high floor and projects to be a good starting QB for awhile, maybe not a Hall of Famer but certainly worth a high pick. The guy was almost built from the ground up to be ready for his rookie season.

Vic is great. If everyone adhered to his BAP philosophy there would be no TV debates on team needs for the draft.

Matt Stafford's career is ruined already? That's news to me.

How many more season do you think Stafford can go through getting beat up like that? He couldnt even complete this season. One more and he's David Carr and theres no reason to believe they'll protect him next year.

He'll be fine next year. Everybody knew their O-line was gonna be a mess this year anyway, so it's not out the realm to think they WONT fix it this offseason.

I hope so for Stafford sakes. He really earned my respect this season.
