Terrible move.

You ***** in Peppers and you get rid off the only other starting defensive end on the team. Now all offensive lines have to worry about is Peppers. Not to mention Brown was one of the players on the Bears that actually cared and busted his *** each week.

I've liked Anderson but he's been MIA since his rookie season. ****ed some flashes of his rookie season last year but I'm not sold.

Idonije is a awesome special teams player. At best a back up DE.

Terrible move from an organization spinning out of control. There's no grasp of reality in Lake Forest. Just a total joke of a move.

I went to high school with alex brown one of the most gifted athletes I have ever seen. Cant believe they released him, hope he gets on with someone.

This just annoys the heck out of me. I only wish this was an april fool's joke, but I know folks in charge of this organization make stupid decisions like this all the time. Alex Brown along with Lance Briggs were one of the few bright spots of our piss poor defense last season and as usual with Chicago sports, a team presents gifts with one hand and slap you across the face with the other while you're smiling and distracted. Sometimes it's really hard to stay a fan of this team.

I don't mind them trying to trading Alex Brown BUT the way they handled it was just awful.

Why is your organization saying Brown is on the block and then turn around and say, 'if we can't trade him then we'll cut him'. So if I'm a team that wants Brown, why don't I'll just wait for the Bears to cut him?

They could have gotten something for him it they didn't open their mouths talking about cutting him if they can't swing a deal.
