"franchise QB" simply means the franchise is going to make him the guy and are leaning on him to do well. doesnt mean is is peyton manning or tom brady, it just means the franchise is making him their guy hopefully for years to come

jamarcus russell and alex smith are examples of "franchise quarterbacks" who have failed

I understand what you're saying. Others do too, they just want to be ___________ . (If you're wondering what fills in the blank it's "nice people").

Re: Week 2: Eagles @ Lions

A few days ago I would have picked the Eagles by a bunch, but now I have no idea after what has all transpired. I'm going to have to wait and see what happens this week and find out who is playing before I can even hazard a guess.

I wonder what the spread will be...

I love Kolb but he's not a franchise QB untill he proves it...EAgles traded old McNabb because he didnt fit in on a young team...

Everyone on offense is only around 24..heck that might be the entire team....

Saying he's overrated and calling him "franchise" is like the same thing..Let him prove what he truly is...

If the Eagles end up being the worst team in the NFL(by Kolb playing bad or not coming back hypothetically), you wouldnt think they'd select that QB with the #1 pick?

I hope they keep the kelly green colors all season, I love those man!

If they dont wear them, Det wins 28-0

Re: Week 2: Eagles @ Lions

The Eggles are going to cream the Lions...what week 1 showed in my opinion is that Vick is the guy in Philly and the Lions have no offense, with or without Stafford (although especially without him). Kolb getting hurt might actually work in Philly's favor, because it will force Vick to the starting QB spot, where he probably belongs. Vick will burn us rushing and do enough throwing, and in the end, the fact that we can't score more than 7-10 points will be our un-doing (yet again....).

Eagles 24, Lions 10.
