Re: Week 5: Packers @ Redskins

Ubernoob- Nah I'm not gonna pregame up there. Just getting to the Stadium itself is a nightmare as it is and unless you get up there early and get a spot to tailgate, you'd be wasting your time lol.

Clifton vs. Orakpo will be an interesting matchup right there. Clifton looked pretty good and held his own again Vandenbosch on Sunday after looking terrible Monday Night.

Our Defense hasn't been TOO bad(aside from Vick running wild on us but that's Vick for ya)but we haven't looked like people thought we would be this year. We're still getting to the QB and forcing TOs but there have been too many times where we couldn't get them off the field because we couldn't stop anyone on 3rd down(see Detroit game)

The thing with blitzing Rodgers is that once you get to him, you HAVE to bring him down because he can escape the blitz/pressure and still make a play downfield as well. I know he wasn't happy with the gameplan on Sunday and said he hopes we go back to what we did against Chicago when we were moving the ball at will. This is the time of the year where we can afford to go 70/30 or 80/20 Pass while the weather is still good for the most part but once we get into November/December that's definitely going to have to change.

Clinton Portis is also out and will be out at least 4-6 Weeks according to 980 here in DC due to the Groin injury he suffered against Philly.

Re: Week 5: Packers @ Redskins

The Packers had 8 players not participate in practice including both starting O-Tackles and Charles Woodson. For Redskins, only Bidwell.

Re: Week 5: Packers @ Redskins

I just have a feeling the Redskins offense will click this week..and hopefully it can last for a whole game and not just the 1st half.

Kinda scared of what the Packers offense can do against us though. Rodgers is a elite QB that's now going to throw dump off all game ala Kolb.

Can't call this one, So I'm not...Just want a good game from the Skins..We have to split these 2 games between the Packers and Colts.

I hope Rodgers can move the ball at will. Like the Chicago game, just with more discipline from the whole team.

I'll be in the nosebleeds

Woodson's probably going to play. However, both starting safeties look to be OUT Sunday depending on if Nick Collins can go or not. They've not been optimistic about it.

Re: Week 5: Packers @ Redskins

Yeah GB is Banged up.. looks like Tauscher could be out as well but Bulaga is more than Adequate replacement.

It's going to be a tough day defensively, hopefully the O steps up though.
