Re: Sunday Night Football: Vikings @ Packers

Am I the only Packers fan here who, while thrilled about the win, was disappointed in the fans for booing Favre as he left?

He's obviously not coming back next year, he's obviously hurt, just felt classless to me.

And if this has been discussed, I didn't read back in the thread.

Ok, the rule is clear.

A players helmet cannot come off on the field of play.

Don't know how the refs missed that one.

After what he's done to us the last 2 years, none at all and as long as he's still wearing that Purple on his back, then keep the boos coming.

The attention of the play was down the field to the opposite side, and Matthews was taking a pretty wide rush. I would hope the refs simply didn't see it happen.

If they 'did' see it happen and still didn't throw the flag, I would be super ****ing pissed.

Somewhat disappointed.

I don't think the texting/voicemails situation helped that out. A Journal reporter today had an article about this. She said that 47% of Wisconsin females watched the Packer/Vikings games last year. Several females were interviewed stating that they were Favre fans until this came out.

I saw that too. Terrible. Don't boo him, boo the front office for trading him away. What are they even booing for? He isn't a Packer?

To others, Matthews literally threw his helmet off. It was riding up so instead of putting it down, he literally ripped it off and threw it.

If I was a Viking fan, I would be too. There were a few missed calls tonight on both sides.

I think GB could've done without booing him off the field. We just won a huge game against are most hated rival, the crowd should've been enjoying the win and let Favre leave quietly.

I don't feel bad about the boos he got at the begining of the game tho. No one forced him to return to GB in a Vikings uniform.
