Re: WEEK 8: REDSKINS AT LIONS

Detroit are ranked 7th in Passing Yards per game, 6th in completed passes, 11th in Points per game and 13th in Passing Yards for the season.

Washington have given up more passing yards than any other team this season, with a total of 2,045. So far they are the only team that have given up over 2,00 passing yards. The Redskins defense has allowed an average of 292 passing yards per game, 2nd to Houston's horrible 306.2 per game. Their defense has also allowed 43.3 Passing Attempts per Game.

Now I really fancy our chances. I'm also quite proud of myself for finding out those stats myself.

Re: WEEK 8: REDSKINS AT LIONS

This game is gonna be another dog fight. Washington gives up yards but not points on defense, they have been abismal on offense. Pass protection and accuracy in the passing game have been problematic. Don't know much about Detroit out side of they have a decent front 4, Calvin Johnson and Stafford coming back. Oh and last year they ended their what 19 game winless streak against us....

That said. Skins have managed to be in every game but 1 this year and of those, were a missed FG from winning in OT. Teams that can play well in close games tend to be less panicked in crunch time, so they have that going for them.

This is where it gets inflated. When you play passing teams such as Indianapolis, Green Bay, Dallas (they qualify because Jason Garrett calls passes all the time), Houston, and Philadelphia of coarse the stats are going to look bad. But the thing is, in 7 games we have given up less points than Detroit did in 6 games.

the points thing is a good stat. the redskins do not have anything close to a good defense, but they are scrappy. i think stafford could have some rust. good thing for him he can just throw it up to megatron if all else fails! i don't know how to call this one, the 'skins will probably find a way to lose, since a win would set up the 2nd half of the season nicely and the football gods are not going to let me have that!

I actually think the Lions were better with Shaun Hill at QB. I'm not sure Stafford coming back helps us that much, if at all...

The Lions will keep it close, because the 'Skins just aren't that good (much like the rest of the NFC), but in the end, they will lose because they are the Detroit Lions.

They are scrappy! We have forced 17 turnovers, which equals all of last season's total.
