What's Your Take On Teams Running Up The Score?

Does it bother you? Offend You? Are you fine with it and do have any issue with teams doing it?

Me personally, I don't have any issues with because as a Coach(using the NFL as an example)it is my job to prepare my team for everything and prevent the other team from scoring points on me. Now if the other team is running up the score and I cannot stop them, is that their fault or is it mine? If anything it is mine and mine only because I obviously didn't do my job in stopping the other team from scoring.

But anyway, curious to know what are other's take on this issue.

No problem with it here, it's not the winning team's job to stop themselves, but there comes a point where for that winning team I think it just becomes an unnecessary injury risk.

In high school or college, it's just bad sportsmanship to run up the score *I'm assuming this means still running high octane offense with 1st stringers.*

In the pro's? Who cares. They are paid to play the game and they are all professionals. If you wanna stop them from running up the score, maybe you should live up to your contract and stop them.

If you are trying to show some one up, that's bad form imo. That being said in the NFL moreso than the lower levels, payback always seems to come real quick. So be careful what you wish for.

It doesn't offend me. Doesn't really bother me either. I just think it's disrespectful. And if you want to run it up, at the very least, take out your starters. It's simply idiotic to leave them in.

At the end of the day though, I don't really care that much. Unless it was my team, only because I don't want one of my franchise players getting injured because my coach wanted to run up the score. Just plain stupid.

That's how I look at it also. The only thing that i don't like is when a team is up by lets say 30pts an they are still going for it on 4th down. To me that's disrespectful.
