My man....you got the skins scoring 31? They have had 30 pt efforts twice in their last 32 reg season games. If that aint kool aid.....

The giants still have one of the best front fours in the lg, and can stick just about anyone in the secondary and still prevent yards.

If you win it will be predicated on Eli killing his team's chances. I like the Giants D over the Skins offense, but don't know if Eli can the ball out of someone like DeAngelo's hands.

The East is going to be a dog fight(no pun intended) just as always. Nobody has been crowned anything yet.

Dog fight between two teams, MAYBE three. (Giants)

Giants would have been there, minus major injuries.

Redskins are still a step behind, IMO.

While saying that though, I don't mean 'Skins will finish last. Teams have bad years. The NFL is so close, a play here or there late in the game, can change the outcome. Someone mentioned that Washington lost 6 games by a TD or less.

The Cowboys were 1-5 and all 5 losses were 7 or less. Finished the year 6-10, and other than the 2 blowouts after Romo went down, the other 3 losses were 3 or less.

I was shocked the Skins didn't try their best to improve their weapons. Getting Moss back is solid, although not at that price. I know he doesn't have a great off-field history, but would've been a nice addition to sign Braylon.

You can live with the Skins QB situation, if they surrounded him with weapons. Skins will struggle to score, most games. Too much pressure is on that defense to hold some high powered offenses to 20 or less, just to have a shot.

The NFCE has 3 offenses that could potentially be top 5 in offense.

I think Giants win this one. No matter the injuries, the Giants front is serious.

I think Eagles are a lock for playoffs, not necessarily the division. Dallas can give them a run, there.

Re: Week 1: New York Giants @ Washington Redskins

well since this thread is about THIS WEEKS game and not the season i will weigh-in. the skins have improved but it is still the giants. i think they have a chance and will be competitive, but fall just short. giants 21-20. and while i do think the giants will win the game, i always love the cats who think in a game like this the skins have no chance. same was said last year about dallas in game 1. the thing is, it is the first game of the season, against a division rival, at home, in an emotional setting, all just like last year. did the skins blow the 'boys away, no, but they beat them so the facts are the facts. anyone who thinks the skins have no chance is a damn fool...

Aaahhh!!! Giants vs Skins what better way to kick off the season..This will be a close game ..I love what the skins have done with their O as far as running the rock though depending on Grossman will cost you in the long run..I am concerned about the Giants D linebacker wise and don't know if we can stop the run..Again Giants will need to play ball control and work off of playaction to get Eli some confidence..Gotta stop that Washington Running game and force grossman to beat us..I like the Jints 20-17 with a late filed goal to win it..Gonna be an emotional day with 9/11..
