They pound the ball, and Peterson is fresh and will likely have a big day. Like someone said earlier, last time they played he set the single game rushing record.

I think it really comes down to the O-Line being able to protect McNabb, and Berrian and Jenkins have to get in the mix somehow.

I wouldn't put money on it, but I'm picking Minnesota.
Last time the Chargers weren't very good at all at stopping the run. What year was that 09'? If the defense can do what they did last year which they should be able to I don't think AP has such a big day. He is definitely capable of it with his skill set but, I believe in SD's defense more than AP.

Chargers D was actually pretty good that year too.. AP is just that kind of player, although I don't see him putting up 200 in this game.

Yeah I remember. They held CJ back pretty good the last few seasons and some pretty good running backs. Besides Steven Jackson last season I believe.

As long as Garay is in which he should be I'll feel confident in this group. He'll probably get his yards(hopefully not) but, the yards mean nothing with TDs to finish them off. Hopefully see Bob Sanders out there flying around, Sanders/Weddle could make a great duo this season.

Also Crayton looks like he may be out with Walters maybe taking his place.

Yeah, San Diego's run D was excellent last year although guys like CJ2K and Steven Jackson can break out big runs on just about any team in the league. (Maybe not the Steelers..)

Garay is a very under-the-radar player but he has stepped up to replace Jamal Williams very well and I think he's going to have a huge part in stopping Adrian Peterson tomorrow. Like you said, yards don't mean a whole lot without TD's and I think our pass defense is good enough to limit McNabb to the point where they rely on AP a little too much.

I didn't hear about Crayton being hurt, that really stinks as he was going off last year before he broke his wrist. I was really impressed with Walters in the pre-season though and I'd love to see him get his shot in a big time game.

Re: Week 1: Minnesota Vikings @ San Diego Chargers

Why do people/fans/announcers/etc still reference the years and total dollars of contracts as though they matter?

Oh yeah, and hells yes to Harvin.
