That's not saying much at all actually, only competition would be James Stewart and Kevin Jones

As for Best being the fastest I say no, but he's definitely in the running for Top 5.

Yeah first guy that popped into my head was James Stewart, but even he didn't put up that great of a year. Just 1 (or 2?) 1000 yard rush season, and just a 3.5 YPC on the one I looked up.

I forgot about Kevin Jones. He never seemed to put it all together and I'd probably say, at this point, Best definitely looks to be on a higher career arc.

This could be the beginning of something huge in DET, though. There's a WR/RB/QB thread going on... who knows.. maybe in a few years, or a decade, we could be talking about these three. Super early, I know, but they've been spectacular.

Id say these guys were all faster and probably better.

Kevin Jones couldn't stay healthy... something Best has to prove he can do still. I think Jones had just as much potential but we'll never find out. I hope Best can stay on the field and actually reach his.

I feel like McCoy is more quick then straight ahead speed, not saying hes slow or anything.

Well I thought that was part of the OP's description of Best's speed.

We need to see more of this Best. 12 carries for 190 is nice, but I think they would like a 25 carry 150 even more. Need to tire out the defense over time, then that O will be even more deadly by the fourth quarter.
