Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)

This is a chance to bury the Eagles. Two weeks to prepare for this game, so hopefully the extra week helps.

If the Eagles lose this game, they are officially tanking

I just can't really explain the miss tackles, penalties and dropped passes...

It's like "angles in the outfield" the opposite..

Redskins are just too solid this year, everything the Eagles are doing wrong the Redskins are doing right.

21-10 Washington, I think it's going to be a rough day for Vick.

This is from Don Banks' power rankings over at cnnsi.com

There's going to be a fight among Redskins rushers to see who gets the lead role this week against the porous Philadelphia run defense. If I'm the Shanahans, I run Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain and Roy Helu all at the Eagles, all game long. I wouldn't make Rex Grossman win this game unless it becomes absolutely necessary. If Washington has to throw more than 20 times on Sunday, something went wrong with the game plan.

I agree 1000%. Skins need to run, run and run some more. I like the skins to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if this the week Philly plays like a "Dream Team". 21-17 Washington.

If Philly scores 28 or more, I don't think Washington can score enough points to win.

Key to Redskins win Defense and sticking to the running game.

Don't make Grossman have to win the game because he will more than likely lose it.

Offense:Pound Pound Pound
Defense: Do not lose sight that the Eagles are still a high powered Off and they perform...Just the Turnover margin is Dreadful. Force Turnovers.

Cooley and Davis should lead the Skins in targets this week. Win or lose, if they don't, it was a bad gameplan.

Are Peters and Cole still out? If so, there really is no reason to think the Eagles should win this game... and of course, it's the backed against the wall with no hope left games that a good team ends up pulling out. It could be a 10 pt victory by the Skins or a repeat of the PIT/TEN game from last week with the Eagles playing the role of the Steelers.

They're both probably out this weekend, then use the bye week to get healthier and hopefully play the week after that.

That's going to make things rough. DRC played last week, right? I know he was hurt too. I don't know if the Eagles will have their bingo calling "consultant" before this game but at the very least they need to start playing more man to man so Aso can feel more comfortable out there. I would've thought the first thing the D coordinator would do is build a defense that takes advantage of his strengths specifically, and having those corners in general. Maybe that would put more pressure on the LBs guarding TEs in the middle or RBs coming out of the backfield?
