so far, they have the best defense in the nfl statistically, they have the best running back duo in the nfl, and their pass game is decent without one of the best wide receivers in he nfl. sounds pretty complete to me.

Why though? They have an unbelievable defense, a shutdown corner, a fantastic front 7, two of the top ten rushers in the league, a top 10 QB, one of the best OL in football, they get fantastic TE play from Dreesen and Daniels and when they get Andre back they'll have the best WR in football too.

They are very, very good all around. Just a matter of putting and keeping it all together.

Now you're overstretching it. A. Johnson is top 5 no doubt, but he's not the best.

Andre Johnson isn't the best WR in football? Uh, what? At the VERY, VERY worst, he's 1a. Like, at the very worst.

I've been a stout defender of the Texans for the last three years, but I am not buying them as the best team in the NFL. It is clear to me that that Packers have that locked up IMO.

The Texans may have the best defense statistically speaking this year, but the Chargers did last year and how much good did that do them?

Best running back duo in the NFL? They sure do, but the Panthers also did for the last four years and how much good did that do them?

Schaub is a good QB but he is clearly a notch (or more) below the elite guys like Rodgers, Brady and Brees.

They're a good team, but to call them "complete" or the best in the NFL is certainly pushing it no matter what any Texans fan might say. Hell, the 49ers beat the hell out of the Bucs much worse than the whipping they took today.

Perhaps you guys should watch Calvin Johnson a little more. I'll admit, I've seen more of Calvin then Andre, but what I have seen of Andre has not led me to believe that he's a better WR.

Calvin has just plain been dominating corners and safeties this season.
