Re: Top 5 WRs in the NFL

Im inclined to move Fitz to the top.
He has had 4 different starting QBs in the last 4 years.

Yet over 1000 yards and still is a touchdown machine every year. Dont know how he gets it done

He's their safety cushion so they go to him. You can say the same about Calvin Johnson in just the last 2 seasons.

fitz has to be the best mix of class, hands, size, speed, toughness, explosiveness, and durability in a wide receiver...with calvin johnson and andre johnson close behind.

everyone else is a big step below.

Out of all of that the only thing Fitz has over both Johnsons is probably hands. Both Johnsons are faster, bigger, more explosive an have just as much class.

I agree, but Fitz falls short only because AZ lacks talent at the QB position. If you could pick a starting QB for your team, with the choice of Matt Shaub, Matt Stafford, Kevin Kolb, Max Hall, John Skelton, and Derek Anderson, who would you pick?

Nothing against Fitz at all he could very well be the best WR in the league. There is an obvious top 3 its the Johnsons an Fitz. The only reason I would take one of the Johnsons over Fitz is because they are a faster. Everything else you can compare all 3 on is pretty much a wash. At this point I would take Calvin over Andre because Andre gets hurt from time to time and I'm a Hurricanes fan.

stafford.

either way, these guys are super consistent year in and year out, regardless of who's throwing the ball to them. just another testament to how good these three guys really are. imagine if they actually played their whole careers with elite quarterbacks. (stafford is not elite)

they are all fast and after a certain point, speed becomes negligible as route running, making good breaks and qb/wr timing probably play larger roles. but yes, i believe when it comes to these three, it becomes a matter of preference.
